Shin Sheen

Hello, I am Shin Sheen. I grew up in Pattaya, The sea naturally became a significant part of my life. I have encountered many lives, each drawn to the sea for different reasons. Some come seeking happiness, while others come to release the burdens in their hearts. For me, the sea holds deep meaning, both as a place of memory-making and emotional comfort. It is where I long to be when I want to feel happy and where I find refuge when I need to escape sadness. My artwork reflects this connection between humans and the sea. I chose to use the Cyanotype technique, creating images through sunlight, allowing the light that passes through transparent sheets to capture stories on to paper, For me, both light and water symbolize unending change, much like the passage of time, as life continuously moves forward, adapting and evolving with each moment.
